Meet The Chef
Millbrook Resort's award-winning Executive Chef is Russell Heron.
With over 13 years experience in the food industry, Russell is an experienced chef with a passion and knowledge for food, using fresh, local, seasonal ingredients to create mouth watering food across all our restaurants.
In 2001, Russell was runner up at the New Zealand Commis Chef of the Year Competition and in 2002, he was appointed New Zealand Young Culinarian of the Year by the New Zealand Chefs Association. Over the years Russell has been a part of many award-winning restaurant teams and has worked for some of New Zealand's best restaurants.
Russell was named the Beef and Lamb Ambassador for New Zealand in 2010 and leads Millbrook's experienced and exceptional team of chefs catering across all four restaurants, plus events and weddings.
