The Millhouse is our signature restaurant.
The Millhouse Restaurant and Millbrook's Executive Chef, Andi Bozhiqi, have won many restaurant and culinary awards, including the prestigious New Zealand Beef and Lamb Awards for Excellence for the past three years. The menu has many unique offerings such as Southland Venison and Cardrona Merino Lamb.
For the past three years, The Millhouse has also received the prestigious Wine Spectator Award for Excellence by US Magazine Wine Spectator, for our superior wine list, which according to the judges perfectly matches our locally-inspired menu.
We use only the freshest local ingredients in our dishes and the menu changes seasonally to reflect not only the amazing produce we’ve sourced but also the wines on our list. Ensuring a perfect harmony of flavours with food and wine is always our goal.
Located alongside the original water wheel and on the edge of The Mill Pond overlooking the 18th Hole, The Millhouse was the original flour mill in the resort’s former farm days and the history of the building is reflected inside and out. We craft contemporary-style dishes utilising the best locally-sourced seasonal produce, complementing wild game and fresh seafood in dishes blending European concepts with a Central Otago influence.
The roaring fire at The Millhouse evokes an ambience of romance in the winter, while al fresco dining by the Mill Pond is an ideal way to spend a Summer evening.
As Kobe Cuisine will re open on the 16th October 2014, The Millhouse will also be offering a Japanese menu for you to enjoy.
Delight your senses and accept our invitation to experience the best of what Central Otago has to offer.
