Micah Dickinson
Director of Golf
Micah oversees the membership golf experience and events. Originally from Muriwai, he found golf at nine years old and turned professional at 18. He then moved to Queenstown, where he found our little slice of paradise.
Micah has a real passion for the game of golf, as well as the overall member experience. He particularly enjoys spending time with members out on the golf course, building relationships, creating friendships and ultimately improving the member experience in any way he can.
Growing up surfing and playing rugby league, Micah is a keen athlete and lover of the ocean. When he is not on the golf course, you can find him in the water.
Lindsay Donoghue
Membership Coordinator & Golf Shop Assistant
Lindsay joined the Millbrook golf team in October 2020. Since beginning at Millbrook, Lindsay has been driving the course, offering all the yummy food and beverages to the golfers. She is now making the transition to working part time as the Membership Coordinator and Golf Shop Assistant.
Lindsay was born and raised in Canada and has always had a passion for the outdoors. She completed a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education with a specialty in Outdoor Adventure Leadership in 2014. She then spent seven years working for the Tim Horton Children Foundation in Canada, taking underprivileged youth into the backcountry for 7-9 days, canoeing and hiking. In 2019, she then travelled over to New Zealand, for what she thought was going to be a brief working holiday. Due to Covid, she ended up staying and 3.5 years later she is now working towards making New Zealand home.
When Lindsay is not at Millbrook, she keeps busy on her days off by mountain biking, hiking, or walking the many amazing trails Queenstown has to offer!
Mitchell Newport
Assistant Golf Professional
Mitch's role at Millbrook is primarily looking after membership events and golf coaching. Born in Australia, Mitchell grew up in Nelson, going through school and tertiary studies there. Following high school, he went onto study and complete a Bachelor of Commerce degree at NMIT, which he graduated in 2018.
After completing his degree, Mitchell found himself with an opportunity to begin his NZPGA traineeship at his home course, Nelson Golf Club. Commencing his traineeship in 2019, an opportunity to move south to The Hills Golf Course popped up, which first brought him down to Queenstown. After two years, he then got an offer to work at Millbrook as an Assistant Professional.
In his spare time, Mitchell loves watching many sports but being the golf nut of the group, you'll often see him getting his own golf fix by playing golf on his days off.
